CardBanter ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the CardBanter mobile application (the "App").
Game Data: The App stores player names, unlocked decks, and AI-generated card content locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device unless explicitly described below.
Purchase Information: When you make in-app purchases, transactions are processed by Apple's App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). We do not collect or store your payment information.
AI Card Generation: When you purchase AI-generated card packs, a request is sent to OpenAI's API to generate card content. No personal information or player names are included in these requests — only a prompt describing the types of cards to generate.
Analytics: We collect anonymous usage analytics through Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and improve the experience. This includes events such as games started, cards drawn, and purchases made. No personally identifiable information is collected.
Remote Configuration: We use Firebase Remote Config to manage App settings. This service may collect basic device information (device type, OS version) as part of standard Firebase operations.
We use the following third-party services:
Local Storage: All game data (player names, unlocked decks, AI-generated cards) is stored locally on your device. This data is not backed up to any cloud service by the App.
No Account Required: CardBanter does not require account creation or sign-in. There is no user account data to manage.
AI-Generated Cards: Cards created through the AI card generation feature are stored only on your device. If you uninstall the App or switch devices, these cards cannot be recovered.
Your local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data, including unlocked decks and AI-generated cards.
Anonymous analytics data is retained by Firebase according to their standard retention policies.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We only share data with the third-party services listed in Section 2, solely for the purposes of operating the App. We do not share any data with advertisers or data brokers.
The App is designed for ages 12 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not require any personal information to function.
Since all game data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data at all times. You can delete all App data by uninstalling the App.
